A year in the den

It's our one year anniversary today which actually made me realise that I didn't really blog many of the wedding pics. Not surprising considering that I haven't even printed off any photos for our walls.
Must get to that at some stage soon....

A Lachy Bump...
Nothing some sucky-in undies and holding your breath can't fix.
Actually I'm pushing it out, it wasn't that big.

Stop drawing attention to it ladies!!
A few prenuptial shennanigans with my buddies.

And then
Dad making sure to give me away.

Aunty Pam and I spent several hours getting high on hot glue gun fumes to make the bouquets. I love how they turned out.

We chose to have a fairly tight wedding budget and we both think we pulled it off quite well. We had a catered spit and the food was great and plentiful. A week in Noosa helped heal my tired dancing feet. Tired dancing feet is always a sign of a good night.

All I have to do now is sell the first dress that I bought which the Lachy Bump would not fit under and get to printing out those photos.

More important than the wedding, is the marriage and that is going well.
Still true love, lots of learning along the way and lots of laughs to get us through the tricky bits.

A year on....I really want to swan about in my dress again.
Would it look weird if I wore it around the house....?

Soooo..... where have you been?

I'm submerged in wedding-ness at the moment.
W-Day is approaching fast and the list is looooooong.
I'm so glad for the internet and my unfussy ideas/willingness to compromise/denial.

One day I'll sew again. One day.

On one knee

As you know from my last post, things are pretty awesome in the Noble-Fox household!!!
Thank you for all of the lovely comments and congratulations.
Engagements and weddings seem to have the same air of happiness and excitement that pregnancy, birth and a certain little Fox has.

How did he ask, you ask?

Well, on Wednesday the 29th of Feb, I was spending quality time reading the junk mail when I heard them mention on the news that it was the day that traditionally, women could propose to their men.
I made a joke to Mr CP that I had to ask him a question..... and then I went back to the Target catalogue.
A few minutes later Mr CP walked back into the room holding Master Harvey who was carrying a box.
Mr CP said, "Actually, WE have a question for you."

Gobsmacked, I think I said, "Ahhhhhhhh."

Mr CP walked over and got down on one knee and said, "Would you do me the honour of becoming my wife?"

Me, "Yes!!!!"

Harvey kindly held the ring box out but hasn't yet learnt that the second part of Ta' means to let go of what he's holding so I had to prise it out of his hand.

Mr CP then put my gorgeous princess cut, sparkly, white gold ring on me.
Yay.

This is now my world.....

An awesome dress with pockets!
(fhiky.com)
and the daunting prospect of trying to find THE dress.
I'm soooo glad for Google and World Wide Web!
Our budget is small.
Think Cheap and Cheerful for the theme.
I'm thinking of lots of lovely handmade decorations.

Possibly some material for ppl to sign to them make into a wedding quilt...?
Or something quilty at least.
Tips, hints and ideas are very, very welcome.
to help me plan our wedding......

And so, to sew

Or at least to go into the craft room and shuffle stuff around....

Just as I was warned the days with Harvey are whipping by so fast. We have been busy with lots and lots of visitors (often with baked goods and little blue clothes in hand so of course they are very welcome ;o) as well as the wedding of my best friend. For us it was the more important nuptials on the 29th of April.

The prospect of being a bridesmaid only weeks after getting a Harvey was daunting but a laid back bride (at least about that) meant that it all worked out fairly well. She chose a dress design that was flattering for my deflating, wobbly tummy as well as the other bridesmaid who is 28 weeks pregnant. I'm waiting on some photos as this is the only one I have seen of me so far...

Righto, time to actually step inside the world of craft...I think I might sort through my finished quilt tops and make a list in order to try and create some actual finishes. That is until this fabulous range comes out...

Perfect for my little Mr Fox.
I'm hanging for September when this range comes out!
