It's finished!

I finished the I spy the other day. I'm really happy with how it turned out and can't wait to give it to the 2 year old recipient. As I am one of those patchers that finds it impossible to only do one project at a time... I have another quilt to bind. It's only 11 months late but since it's one of the best pieces of work I've done..... I think the owner to be will forgive me. Pictures when it's completed, hopefully next week :)
After a rainy, miserable day yesterday, I woke up to a stunning sunny, blue sky day today. I've been enjoying a book called 'Choosing Eden' about a couple who move to a farm after a lifetime of suburban life. It reaffirms my own tree change to the little country town I live in. I change my mind often but at the moment I am sticking with the country life. On days like today - who wouldn't.
No sewing but a lovely morning before the rigours of work this afternoon.
happy sewing,
Abbe :)

  1. Love your " I Spy" quilt. The spotty red border is great.

  2. That is such a good idea for a quilt! I love it! I know what my niece and nephew are going to get for Christmas :)
